Reviews

I read lots of books every year. I post my reviews on Amazon and I've started to post them here and on Goodreads.  I read mainly romance but some best sellers and classical literature as well. In my younger years I read more Suspense and Spy books. I'm am sure that shaped my actual writing style and genre. I wish I could write like Jane Austen but I can't and I'm not sure if readers today have the desire to read books like that written modernly.

Review: Queen of Someday

Queen of Someday Queen of Someday by Sherry D. Ficklin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love this book. Love Sophie and the intrigue of the court. Her relationship with her mother and Queen Elizabeth and all the men. OMG the end, she is so smart and caring and cunning. Exceptional book, can't wait to read the next one.

Review: Queen of Tomorrow

Queen of Tomorrow Queen of Tomorrow by Sherry D. Ficklin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a great series. I waited for this second book and it was incredible. The politics and drama are exceptional. I love this series. I really love Catherine's love interests (can't remember the Russian names) and I cried with her during the horrible tragedies she suffered. I know I will read this series again.

Review: Queen of Always

Queen of Always Queen of Always by Sherry D. Ficklin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such a good book and a great finale to the series. I was sad by the things that occurred at the end and that she had to make a choice that would mean the people she loved were gone, but I thought the ending was great. It made me so interested in this historical person. Great writing and great twists.

Review: Big Girl Panties

Big Girl Panties Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved this book, loved Holly and the growth she experiences. My heart broke with her and my heart soared as well. She was such a smart, witty gal. And who could forget Logan, one of the sexiest characters written. It is fun, sad, hopeful, and sexy. The intimacy between them is hot, and I smiled so much and laughed so much. I read it twice, and I'm sure I'll read it again.

Review: The Total Package

The Total Package The Total Package by Stephanie Evanovich
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I couldn't wait to read this book because I LOVED "Big Girl Panties" so much. I also liked The Sweet Spot. This one wasn't as good as those two. I didn't find the characters very funny. I guess I thought his feelings for her were a little hard to understand because the story didn't explain their chemistry when they first knew each other. It was also hard to relate to a character that has been holding onto a crush for years. I also couldn't imagine leaving my child for months on end even for a job. I will keep reading her because it was a good book.
